More Life, Less wire.

I’ve been thinking a lot about my major and the baggage that it comes with. Not only people’s misunderstood perception of Public Relations but also the stress and grind of being respected in the field.

Not all PR majors are grown up mean girls, maybe some just want others to know their beliefs and benefit from it. I may be one of the few who aspire a future PR career in public service but hey, that’s just me.

But who knows what the next few years will hold? Maybe I’ll be working in a in-house firm? Either way I’m excited for the challenge.

Perhaps the most significant changes have occurred most recently, as the Internet and social media like blogs, Facebook and Twitter have transformed the relationship between the members of the public and those communicating with them. A process that for decades went one way — from the top down, usually as a monologue — now goes two ways, and is typically a conversation.
